  • Robert W. Baird & Company, Inc.

I was contacted by Baird in the fall of 2008 because Baird was preparing to open a new branch office located in the Carlson Towers in Minnetonka, Minnesota and needed photos of the building and the grounds. These two pictures they chose are also hanging in the office as part of the office artwork.

  • Arthur Shuster, Inc./Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP

Arthur Shuster, an interior design firm, was in charge of the interior design and decoration of the newly remodeled Ivy Hotel in Minneapolis. The company supplying Shuster with the large pieces of furniture such as bed frames, armoires, desks and tables delivered furniture Shuster believed to be of an inferior quality. Contacted by Maslon, I was hired to document the condition of the pieces delivered to the upscale hotel for use in legal proceedings against the furniture manufacturer.

  • KMS Property Management, Inc.

KMS aquired a new apartment building in Minneapolis and renovated the lobby, but they needed some art. They wanted four photographs that depicted life in the "chain of lakes" and Uptown areas of Minneapolis. I provided them with four large format prints and managed the printing and mounting processes through a printing and framing vendor in Wayzata, MN.

  • Grand Avenue Business Association

Hired to photograph Grand Old Day 2007 events, festivities, sponsors and those in attendance.

  • The Spectacular State: Culture and National Identity in Uzbekistan (Duke University Press)

    Phase I

An associate professor from the Harvard Sociology Department was writing a book about Uzbekistan and wanted to include a map of the main business/downtown district in the city of Tashkent. I scanned the map provided into a digital editing program, cleaned it up, added colors and labeled the main historic streets and notable places. I also created graphs and charts for the book based on data provided.

I was also hired to take portraits of the author for the jacket of the book and for promotional use.

  • North Star Therapy Animals

Hired to create several new designs for the logo for this group that specializes in providing trained animals as therapy companions for people hospitalized or in hospice care. The old logo was too large, bulky, confusing and was distracting. I decided to change the design so the logo would be the gold star with the paw print and to separate the name of the organization so they could use the graphic element independently from the text if they so desired, thereby creating a logo that was purely a graphic element that could stand on its own.

  • SKP Promotional Photographs

The Minneapolis band of songwriters, SKP, needed promotional photos for their website. I shot them in the studio and on location.

  • Drink Recipe Promotional Photos

Mr. A.J. Crotty, the Food and Beverage Manager at the Water Street Inn in Stillwater, Minnesota, created a new dessert drink and submitted the recipe to Le Tourment Vert, a maker of Absinthe. He needed promotional photos taken of him and his new drink. Pixel Pie was more than happy to oblige Mr. Crotty. The shoot took place in August of 2009. For further information about Le Tourment Vert or Mr. Crotty's recipe, please go to http://www.letourmentvert.com/submit-alexander-frozen-revenge.php to see the instructional video and detailed recipe.

  • InVision Glass Design - Photography and Graphic Design

InVision Glass Design needed to expand and enhance their photography library and needed a brand image to create one unique and easily recognizable visual package.

As a fast-growing company providing a new, exciting and exclusive process for creating decorative architectural glass, it was important to create an identity with a unique, cohesive and recognizable graphic image.  Pixel Pie presented InVision Glass Design with several graphic and text options for use in logo creation and font use based on the platform, the product, and the philosophy and energy of the company.

Pixel Pie is also providing services as a sub-consultant on “for bid” projects, and provides new photos – and existing photos from its portfolio – for use in InVision Glass Design’s marketing and promotional packages, and for use in their decorative architectural glass work for health care facilities and other corporate clients.

With access to Pixel Pie's images, InVision is able to expand their library of images and the variety available to their clients.

Pixel Pie was also hired to provide decorative architectural images for InVision's new office in Albertville, MN.
